Survivors flee to homes, stores; anywhere they can find shelter from the scourge. Screams of the dying just outside the walls haunt them. The dragging of long-broken and decayed limbs surrounds the group of lone home, the approaching monsters pounding on the walls, seeking entrance. Survivors huddle around radios and TV sets in hope of hearing any news.
This track was originally featured on the Fleshfeast EP and much like They Came From Beneath it underwent some major overhauling. It was about half as long before because I had tapped my reserve for ideas with the ambience of the track. I still felt like it wasn’t complete, though, so I asked Josiah Tobin aka Bit_Rat if he wouldn’t mind tackling it for me since he has a very particular style that I felt would be beneficial to the song. He kicks in about halfway through until close to the end and completely nailed it. I realized around this point when I was arranging the tracks that the composition of the album was becoming reminiscent of Slaughter of the Soul. I had that sucker on repeat for a few weeks and the way I liked the way the songs flowed across the record and found the break in the intensity that Into the Dead Sky offers to be very cool. I didn't necessarily mean for it to pan out that way, but it served as a solid template that fit the structure of the concept rather well.

I start this song every time I am doing Super sets in my home gym. I end up with a pool of sweat and my a melted face from the bad ass riffs that rip through my home from this Master Guitarist.
